How to get Google review alerts on WhatsApp: requirements, limits and a demo

You can receive Google review notifications in WhatsApp through a connected service such as BusinessReviewAlerts. It is an additional channel: Google still hosts the review and your public reply. Before paying, check whether Google's free notifications already fit your routine.

What you need before connecting#

• A verified Google Business Profile and the Google account that owns or manages it.
• Permission to connect the profile. Review the permissions on Google's authorization screen; you can revoke access in your Google account.
• A WhatsApp number you control and can verify.
• An eligible subscription and an active connection.

An agency or colleague may own the profile even if the business belongs to you. Resolve access first. A public Maps link alone does not authorize monitoring through your account.

What arrives in the alert#

The alert includes the rating, review text and a link for replying on Google. Explore the clearly labelled demo. Its names and comments are fictional, and it does not send a message or post a response.

Open the link with the account that manages the business, read the full context and write your response on Google. Receiving an alert does not mean a reply has been published.

Google for free or WhatsApp?#

Google's notification settings may be enough if you check your inbox consistently and one person handles reviews. Check missing notifications first.

WhatsApp can be useful when you spend your working day there and want another channel. It does not remove reviews, improve your ranking by itself or guarantee sales. If the free workflow works, there is no need to buy an additional service.

Limits, delivery and price#

Try a workflow for your business#

A restaurant can assign review follow-up to the shift manager. An auto repair shop can assign it to the person with access to service records. Both need a responsible person; an alert alone does not resolve the complaint.
